Dr. Ismat Jahan Lima

Dr. Ismat Jahan Lima is a highly accomplished Colorectal Surgeon in Dhaka and recognized as the first female colorectal surgeon in Bangladesh. She holds MBBS, BCS (Health), FCPS (Surgery – Gold Medal), MS (Colorectal Surgery), FACS (USA), and MRCS (UK), reflecting advanced national and international training in colorectal and pelvic floor surgery.

Dr. Ismat Jahan Lima currently serves as an Associate Professor of Colorectal Surgery at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital, where she is involved in both specialized surgical care and academic practice.

She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal and pelvic floor conditions, including hemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, fistula, rectal prolapse, pilonidal sinus, pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic constipation, fecal incontinence, colorectal polyps, and colon or rectal cancer.
