Raju Akon is a well-known counselling psychologist and mental health specialist in Dhaka, recognized for his expertise in modern psychotherapy and psychological counseling. He holds an MPhil in MeST for OCD and an MS in Counselling Psychology from the University of Dhaka. In addition, he has received advanced professional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and has completed a TA Diploma.

He is the CEO & Founder of Raju Akon Mental Health Care Center and also works as a Counselling Psychologist at Pinel Mental Health Care Center. Alongside these roles, he provides psychological consultation and therapy services at MonNiramoy Psychiatric Hospital.
