He completed his MBBS and subsequently earned a DTCD (Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases), along with Post Graduate Training (PGT) in Medicine and Cardiology.

He previously served as Professor & Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Khulna Medical College & Hospital, where he played a significant role in patient care, medical education, and the development of respiratory medicine services.
