Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Hasnat Joarder is a highly respected ENT Specialist (Otorhinolaryngologist) in Dhaka with over 37 years of extensive clinical experience in treating complex ear, nose, and throat conditions. He is widely recognized for his expertise in Otology, Cochlear Implant surgery, and hearing restoration.

Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Hasnat Joarder is a pioneer in ENT care in Bangladesh and is known as the first Bangladeshi surgeon to successfully perform a Cochlear Implant. He also established the government’s first institutional Cochlear Implant Program at BSMMU, contributing significantly to the development of audiology and speech therapy infrastructure in the country.

He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, sinusitis, nasal polyps, tonsillitis, adenoid disorders, throat infections, and hearing disabilities in children, with a strong focus on hearing reconstruction and patient-centered care.

Beyond clinical practice, Prof. Dr. Joarder has made remarkable contributions as an educator, mentor, and curriculum developer in Otolaryngology. He has held several prestigious leadership roles, including:
