Prof. Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman

Prof. Dr. Anisur Rahman is a Gastroenterologist in Bangladesh specializing in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic diseases. With a distinguished medical career spanning several decades, he is widely recognized for his expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex digestive disorders.

He has extensive experience in managing conditions such as liver diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatitis, and other related health issues. He is considered one of the pioneers of therapeutic endoscopy in Bangladesh and received specialized training in therapeutic endoscopy from Showa University Hospital, Japan, in 1998. Over the years, he progressed to become Senior Consultant and Head of the GHPD department at BIRDEM.

He has significant expertise in advanced procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP. His long-standing experience and specialized skills have made him a trusted gastroenterologist and liver specialist, often receiving referral cases from across the country.
