Dr. S. M. Ahmed Abed is a qualified Rheumatologist currently practicing in Barisal, Bangladesh. He completed his MBBS in 2011 from Sir Salimullah Medical College & Hospital.
Following his graduation, he underwent one year of training in the Department of Medicine at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. With a commitment to serving rural communities, he joined the Upazila Health Complex, Matlab North, Chandpur in 2014 as a Medical Officer under the 33rd BCS (Health) cadre.
He later completed his MD in Rheumatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 2022, gaining advanced expertise in the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases.
Currently, Dr. Abed is working as a Registrar in the Department of Rheumatology at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College & Hospital, Barisal.
