Professor Dr. Md. Anowarul Islam is a highly experienced Orthopedic Surgeon in Dhaka, specializing in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of bone, joint, and spine-related disorders. He holds the qualifications MBBS, MS (Orthopedics), FICS (USA), FACS (USA), FRCS (UK), and has completed a Fellowship in Spine Surgery, reflecting advanced international training in orthopedic and spine care.
He currently serves as Professor & Unit Head in the Department of Orthopedics at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU), where he is actively involved in advanced orthopedic surgery, patient care, and medical education.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, Professor Dr. Md. Anowarul Islam regularly consults patients at Popular Diagnostic Center, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
