Prof. Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin

Prof. Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin is one of the most experienced and respected Dentists and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Specialists in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Dhaka Dental College in 1987 and pursued further academic excellence with a Diploma in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics (DAND) from the University of Dhaka, followed by a Diploma in Dental Surgery (DDS) from IPGMR, Dhaka. He later earned his MS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 2005.

Prof. Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin began his professional journey through the Bangladesh Civil Service (Health Cadre) after passing the 9th BCS examination, serving as a Dental Surgeon in various Upazila Health Complexes including Ishwargonj (Mymensingh) and Bhairab (Kishoreganj).

He has had a distinguished academic career, teaching at Dhaka Dental College, Chittagong Medical College, and Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College. Currently, he serves as the Professor & Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Dhaka Medical College, contributing significantly to both clinical care and surgical education.

Prof. Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin is also actively involved in professional organizations and leadership roles, including:

• President of Bangladesh Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAMOS)

• Councilor of Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS)

• Councilor of International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS)

He has extensive expertise in managing complex oral and maxillofacial conditions, including facial trauma, jaw tumors, oral cancer, impacted teeth, and reconstructive surgery, using advanced surgical techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Prof. Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin has been practicing dentistry since 1987, with long-standing private practice experience in Rampura and later in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, providing trusted and comprehensive dental care to patients.
