Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam

Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam is a Medicine Specialist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He holds the qualifications MBBS and FCPS, reflecting his extensive expertise in internal medicine.

Dr. Islam currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at North Bengal Medical College. He also previously served as the Professor and Head of Medicine at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College.

He has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases, cardiology-related conditions, neurological disorders, endocrine diseases including diabetes and thyroid disorders, and rheumatologic conditions. Dr. Islam has contributed significantly to medical research, with more than 30 scientific articles published in national and internationally indexed medical journals. He has also participated in numerous scientific seminars, workshops, and medical conferences both in Bangladesh and abroad.
