Dr. Md. Meraj Uddin Mollah – Orthopedic Surgeon & Deformity Correction Specialist

Dr. Md. Meraj Uddin Mollah is a highly experienced Orthopedic Surgeon with special expertise in Ilizarov surgery and complex deformity correction for both adult and pediatric patients.

He completed his MBBS in 2003 from Dhaka Medical College, one of the leading medical institutions in Bangladesh. Earlier in his academic career, he achieved outstanding results, securing 4th position in HSC and 6th position in SSC in the combined national merit lists. He later pursued higher surgical training at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR)—formerly known as Pongu Hospital—joining the MS (Orthopedic Surgery) program in 2006 and successfully completing the degree in 2010 at the age of 32, becoming one of the youngest orthopedic surgeons to achieve this qualification.

Throughout his professional career under the BCS (Health) cadre, Dr. Mollah has served in various capacities in government hospitals under the Ministry of Health, gaining extensive clinical and surgical experience.

He is widely recognized for his expertise in Ilizarov technique and advanced deformity correction surgery, which is used to treat complex orthopedic conditions that were previously considered extremely difficult or even untreatable. This specialized procedure has helped save numerous limbs that might otherwise have required amputation.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Md. Meraj Uddin Mollah has successfully treated thousands of orthopedic patients and has performed more than 10,000 Ilizarov surgeries, demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication in advanced orthopedic care.
